Barbara Maines (Elizabeth Rich) feels her eccentric husband has done enought damager to her family already is ready to move on. Wherever Harold disappeared to, she hopes he doesn't return.
Carl Jenkins (Neal Williams), on the other hand, is convinced that he saw Harold Maines taking a potion one night that turned him into the horse that he is today. Pictured here is Carl beside the horse he claimes is Harold.
If Carl did see Harold take a potion, Laura Babcock (Jackie Wynes) is the woman who gave it to him. Laura is a witch. She runs a local herbal remedy store called "Mother Nature's Hidden Treasures." She was approached by Harold Maines shortly before he disappeared.
To find out where this fascination with horses began, our documentary explores the depths of Harold's childhood. Pictured to the right is Parker Ray (Michael Place), Harold's closest childhood friend. Here he is holding "Captian Roscoe," a gift given to him by Harold.
And then there was Harold's High School sweetheart, Emma Clemens (Lisa Place). She's not convinced that Harold has become a horse, but is fascinated with the idea that she might be able to take Harold "out for another ride."
Seamus Olsen (Jim O'Brien) was an intern at Sorensen Life, where he labored under the tutilage of Harold Maines. He remembers Harold fondly, but is not too upset that Harold is gone. After all, he got Harold's job when he left his position.
Clarence and Marjorie Bleeker (Nick and Tawnya Provenzano) run the local video rental house and got to know Harold's rental habits. His constant rental of films like Spirit, The Black Stallion and The Horse Whisperer made them curious.
Raju Shah (Ian Samuel) is a motivational speaker and spiritual guru. Harold befriended Raju at a conference shortly befoer setting off on his final adventure. Raju considers Harold one of his greatest disciples.
Kyle Knoll (Doug Nimrick) is the owner and operator of Butterfly Valley Ranch, a horse ranch situated a couple of hours outside of Chicago. It is to this ranch that Harold fled when leaving the city.
When Brian Jones (Steve Braddy) could not get a job with his degree in Computer Science, he also took on a job at Butterfly Valley Ranch. When it comes to Carl Jenkins' story about Harold, he thinks Carl may have eaten one too many of those mushrooms growing on the manure.
Dr. Elliot Winquist (Nathan Larsen) never knew Harold Maines, but he didn't have too. As the former Professor of Metaphysics at Benington University, Dr. Winquist recognizes the sociological ramifications of Harold's descent into the animal kingdom. To him it is just another example of entropy; of things falling apart.
